Experiential education includes an introduction to the DAWN® proactive, strength-based approach adapted to living in a community. Education includes real life scenarios for participants to evaluate and problem solve.
Care Partner Community education is for companions who support people living in a community. In-person and virtual educational options include are available. Using educational videos, designated community leaders may facilitate experiential learning in their community after taking a Train the Trainer course. Community education lasts 5-6 hours. If Train the Trainer time is included, experiential education requires an 8 hour commitment. Participants gain person-centered communication skills during practice that is included in each class.
